Security Industry Listings & Licenses

Underwriters Laboratories (UL)

Underwriters Laboratories (UL) sets standards for the security alarm industry. UL tests security equipment as well as writing specifications for the construction of and procedures for Central Station operations. The DSS Central Station meets or exceeds the standards set forth and is a UL Listed Central Station. UL conducts periodic inspections of the DSS Central Station to insure that standards are continued to be met.

Texas Department of Public Safety-The Texas Private Security Bureau

DSS is licensed by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) through The Texas Private Security Bureau to install security systems. Our Texas License Number is C-02224. Our employees are background checked by the DPS and given identification cards to carry at all times. In addition to the DPS background check, DSS will drug test employees as well. Another requirement is that licensed companies carry prescribed amounts of both liability and workers compensation insurance.

Security Industry Certifications

Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)

The DSS staff has employees that have completed a professional certification program by Microsoft. Microsoft certifications train individuals on implementing Microsoft products into practical security environments.

Endura Certified Integrator

DSS is certified by Pelco as an Endura Certified Integrator. This certification is based on DSS' qualifications that include experience in the IP marketplace, commitment to provide both pre- and post-sales Endura support and to have staff credentialed as IT Certified. Our employees have attended the Pelco Video Institute and are certified to sell and install the product.

HID Channel Partner

DSS is certified as an HID Advantage Partner. As a member of this program, our clients receive the guarantee that when we propose HID equipment that they are genuine HID products with guaranteed card to reader compatibility and seamless proximity to smart card migration.

North Central Texas Regional Certification Agency (NCTRCA)

DSS is certified by the NCTRCA to provide Security Systems Services and Closed Circuit TV as a Minority Woman-Owned Business Enterprise. Our Certification Number is WFWB46576N0908.

The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA)

DSS is certified by the CPA as a Historically Underutilized Business (HUB). Our Certificate Number is 1751765058000.

DSS is a long time member in good standing of the Texas Burglar & Fire Alarm Association.

North Texas Alarm Association (NTAA)
