Frequently Asked Question & Answer

Our systems are monitored locally by an advanced, state of the art Central Station that is listed by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and is backed up by a “hot redundant” second facility. In the event of a service disruption, the backup station will continue to service the needs of our customers.

We do not subcontract monitor systems for other alarm companies in our Central Station. We feel that this allows us to provide a higher quality service for our own clients.

Dallas Security Systems installs equipment that can be monitored and serviced by others. We do not intentionally install unique equipment that only we can obtain and sell.

We offer same day service if the request is called in by 12 noon and next day service for requests received after 12 noon. If the service call is considered an emergency, we will be there the same day to make the repair.

We cover the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex and surrounding counties. To the north, we go as far as the Oklahoma line. To the south, we have accounts in Waco. To the east, we have accounts in Tyler. To the west, we will go as far as Mineral Wells.

We can monitor most intrusion systems. If possible, get the brand name and model number of your control equipment when you call us. We can then tell you what we can do with your existing system. The same holds true for access control systems as well.

We have a prepared Reference List of major commercial customers along with contact name and phone number. We do not print a list of residential references but we will call several customers in your area and with their permission, give you several to call.

No. We use our own employees (that are background checked and drug tested) to do the vast majority of our installations. We use outside electrical contractors to run high voltage wiring if needed or locksmiths when needed but most of the wiring and termination of the security system is done by our own employees.

Yes. We are members of the North Texas Alarm Association (NTAA) and the Texas Burglar & Fire Alarm Association (TBFAA). We are also active in the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) and the Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA).

Dallas Security Systems was established by Dallas Police Department Officers Bill Monroe and Dale Meadows in 1978.

Due to our past history on large projects, we have the ability to provide both bid bonds and performance bonds on almost any project.

Dallas Security Systems is privately owned and operated. All owners are still active in daily operations.
