The customer requested a burglary system, surveillance cameras and access control to be installed at a newly opened academy.
Dallas Security Systems (DSS) originally provided the access control, intrusion, and video surveillance systems for this facility around the year 2000 when it operated as the Women’s Museum. The space has been unoccupied since 2011 and is now being reoccupied by The Black Academy of Arts and Letters (TBAAL). Replace six (6) existing exterior analog cameras with new Digital Watchdog AHD cameras.
Existing RG59 coax cabling will be reused to minimize cost and avoid unnecessary wall penetrations or conduit alteration. Replace one (1) existing recessed box-mount camera located in the main lobby near the main entry doors with a new Digital Watchdog box-style camera.
The new camera will be installed using the existing recessed mount to comply with historic preservation requirements — no new holes will be drilled into the structure.
