Originally from Western New York near Buffalo, I relocated to Dallas, Texas in 1984 to work for Dallas Security Systems. Starting as a Security Installation Technician, I worked my way up and through the Company. Holding various positions at DSS over the last 40 plus years has made be stronger as a DSS Salesman, as I understand all of the different aspects of a project.

Outside the office, I have been married for 38 years and have three children; twin daughters and one son. Our children have blessed us with four granddaughters and two grandsons, which currently have us traveling to three different states celebrating birthdays and other special events.

PELCO Upgrade for a Synagogue

Customer reached out to DSS to upgrade their Pelco server. Initially, it was configured with four 12TB drives. We have since added an additional four 12TB drives. We coordinated with Pelco Support to transfer the software licenses from VXPro1 to VXPro2. The process took some time, but we successfully removed the licenses from the old server and applied them to the new one. Lastly, we migrated 11 cameras from VXPro1 to VXPro2.

DSX for a Commercial Business

Customer reached out to DSS to have WinDSX reprogrammed on their database. In lieu of the Dallas Security Systems controlling and monitoring the building DSX System, we changed it so that it is all done on the engineer's office computer. Next we transferred the card holder data. Then we re-programmed of all DSX database information. Lastly we programmed, tested, trained and made operational on the engineer's computer (meeting DSX spec's).

Keypad Entry System for Rehabilition Company

Customer contacted us to install a "smart" keypad entry system for their front door. We installed a control panel in the IT room and interface with client provided network for programming and control of the system. The system is also APP controllable. Finally, we tested the keypad to verify it worked properly.
Card Reader Upgrade for Residential Community

Customer contacted DSS to upgrade the 17 existing prox readers to the Brivo Mobile capable readers. We installed all 17 Brivo readers and ensured readers were working with the customer at the end of the job.
Card Reader for a Global Manufacturing Company

Customer requested DSS to install a card reader, magnetic lock and exit buttons. We installed a card reader on two pedestrian gates where the electric strike is currently in place and conduit ran to it. We also provided the proper cabling, for the electrician to run the cabling from the reader to the control panel. On the third door, we installed the card reader, mag lock and exit buttons.
Access Control for a Tax Company

Customer requested an access control system be installed for their main entry door. We installed card reader system for the main entry door and installed a video-intercom/interface for communication and release of the main entry door. Lastly, we installed of web-based control panel with APP.
Network Test for a Manufacturing Company

Customer contacted DSS to figure out why their alarm system failed to test. DSS met with their IT specialist. He ran some diagnostics on the network switch while we tested the cable. The cable was showing an open on one of the blue pair and one of the brown pair. After replacing the cable connections, a test still showed the same opening. We ran 30’ of new CAT6 while the IT Specialist reset the switch. Once the switch came back online, we tested for communications, which was a success. Both the alarm system as well as the access systems are operational and communicating.
Additional Electronic Devices for Gaming Store

Customer requested additional electronic devices for their doors. DSS supplied two panic bar electric latch retractions along with a power supply and door loop. Additionally, we supplied one electric strike and two door alarm sounders.
Keypad Entry System for a Real Estate Group

Customer contacted DSS to upgrade their system with a Brivo cloud managed system. We replaced the Truportal control panel with a Brivo system that will be monitored. We programmed, tested and made sure it worked properly before leaving the site.
Added Additional Parking Garage Cameras for Office Building

Customer contacted us to install seven additional cameras in the parking garage and a network switch in the SE storage room. We added seven cameras and installed a router to route both the customers network and the Garage camera network to the NIC on the NVR.
Upgraded Security Desk Computer at Apartment Complex

Customer requested that we replace their old laptop computer and monitor with 4k viewing capabilities. We successfully installed DW software and moved over cameras and license to the new computer. We also verified that the cameras, recordings and licenses were there.
Installed Glass Break Detectors at a Public School

Client called in needing glass break detectors, so we installed sixteen wireless glass breaks, four wireless sirens and one repeater to system. All system checks are good, communications and devices are communicating with panel.
Installed 180 Degree camera at Fitness Center

Customer contacted us to install a 180-degree view camera. We successfully ran a Cat6 cable from the first floor to second floor, programmed camera, verified motion recording and tagged camera cable. We contacted DW to do a manual activation for camera license and activated licensing.
Upgraded Alarm and Access Systems at a Bank

Customer requested that Dallas Security Systems, Inc. takeover their existing alarm system devices, provide monitoring, and upgrade their card reader system. We provided an intrusion alarm system including a control panel, one keypad and one siren. We also took over the existing alarm system devices (motion detectors, duress buttons, etc.). DMP full APP was provided for the monitoring. We also upgraded existing card reader system for (4) doors, took over existing card reader setup devices and cabling, including release buttons. We successfully resolved the interface issues with the client’s network, enabling browser-based remote control and programming.
Installed Intercom at a Commercial Building

Customer wanted an intercom installed in their parking garage. We added (1) intercom to the garage in building #2. An intercom cable was run to the luxul switch located on the 1st floor inside the fire control room. At the end of the job, we verified with the security guard that he was able to both receive calls/video and dial out to the station itself for call/video.

The Customer requested the installation of Brivo Access Control as well as monitoring. We successfully completed a takeover of 28 existing card reader setup. Re-using existing card reader/electronic lock setup. We also installed new cabling to the back network room. Installation of new head-end Brivo cloud hosted access control panels and monitoring were also supplied to customer.
Addition of Mag Lock and Exit Button for Dietary Supplement Manufacturer

The customer contacted us to have a mag lock and exit button setup for the cage door. We pulled new wire from the DSX panels to the maintenance cage door. Installed and secured pipe at the door. Terminated the wires and reprogrammed the door. After the service was completed, we tested the door and verified that it worked properly.

Residential Community upgraded Access Control system

DSS installed a BRIVO ACS6100 system with (2) control panels plus expansion board for (17) card reader access locations in management office and amenity complex at the residential community. Brivo Cloud service was also set up, tested and customer trained how to use the Cloud service and system.
